Roman Masley, Managing Director
Mr. Roman Masley is the Managing Director of SHI Capital. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of business development and client/project strategy.
Mr. Masley was formerly with RSM Richter where he worked in the Corporate Finance Group and was Vice President of Spara Capital. He has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating, and completing acquisitions, divestitures and financings in a wide array of businesses. He has strong contacts within the finance industry, specifically private equity and venture capital. In addition, he has assisted many entrepreneurs and their organizations to achieve greater profitability by changing their business process.
Mr. Masley holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Toronto. (He is a Professional Engineer.)
Borys Chabursky, Chairman
Mr. Borys Chabursky is Chairman of SHI Capital and the President and Founder of SHI Consulting. He specializes in strategic planning, fundraising and business development for private and public biotech companies, medical device companies, imaging and oncology companies. In the past seven years, he has worked closely with industry leaders, Top 10 pharmaceutical companies, government, hospitals and healthcare networks. He has also provided interim management and financing support for 10 start-ups. He is currently a member of a number of for-profit and not-for-profit boards, including the advisory boards of the Singapore Cancer Syndicate, Medical and Related Sciences Commercialization Centre (Toronto), the Andrews Institute, GEMMA Biotechnology, Duravest, Royal Patrons Circle (RPC) of the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), Estracure, The Orange Circle and an Industrial Policy Advisory Committee (IPAC ) for a large multinational pharmaceutical company.
Mr. Chabursky has grown SHI Consulting into a globally recognized firm with clients ranging from Fortune 100 pharmaceutical companies to internationally recognized clinicians and academics. In 2002, he was named one of Canada’s "Top 40 Under 40." He has been invited to speak and present in 42 international conferences and events in the past five years and has also been featured by Canadian and international television, radio and print media, such as: Canadian Business, CBC, Global TV, The National Post, Site Selection, BioBusiness, Life Science Today, Biotechnology Focus, The China Post, Les Echos (French daily newspaper), Peterborough Examiner, Hamilton Spectator, and Business Executive. |
